Randstad Professionals is recruiting for GANT Portugal, who’s currently looking to reinforce its team with a Stocks and Buying Specialist (m/f) for Portugal, based at the Lisbon Office and reporting to the Head of Buying and Merchandising at GANT Iberia, based in London.competências
- Bachelors Degree in a business related field (Business Management, Finance)
- 2-3 years of experience as a Merchandise Planner with a medium to large size retailer
- Advanced Excel proficiency Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc)
- In depth analytic skills
- Deep knowledge of product - range - assortment and merchandising dynamics
- Used to a high paced working environment meeting different deadlines
- Preferably, experience from an international organization with strong customer-service culture
- Excellent skills in English and Portuguese, both spoken and written
- Self motivated and results oriented
responsabilidades
Purpose and overall relevance of the job:Stocks and Buying specialist maximizes company’s profits by assuring that the right products appear in the right store at the appropriate time and in the correct volumes. He or she is responsible for achieving sales and inventory plans in GANT’s retail stores in order to meet the assigned financial targets and company objectives. Drives the sales plan through consistent focus and business analysis, monitoring inventory and following sales performance.
Planning & Forecasting:
Work with the Head of Buying and Merchandising to agree appropriate range width and depth to meet department strategy and develop range plans
Perform bottom-up planning in terms of key item flow, sku sales plans, average stock and replenishment requirements
Manage inventory levels: plan backup orders on key core items and major initiatives, recommend orders and increase/decrease inventory
Support within selection process with knowledge of product performance to deliver a commercial range Develop and manage department merchandise plans and financial parameters to meet agreed budget objectives, delivery phasing and category strategy Identify, propose and implement promotional and clearance markdown activity to deliver planned key KPIs, including store stock build planning and impact on profitability
Analyzing & Reporting:
Weekly review of sales performance at line level; identifying areas of opportunity and risk with proposed actions
Analysis of sales trends and performance and incorporate into merchandise and range planning activities
Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities
Compare sales data of the planned category to company sales and communicate major deviations
Tracking:
Oversee order processing to ensure agreed deadlines are met
Monitor stock levels for current and new store openings, highlighting potential issues to the Head of Buying and Merchandising
Undertake regular store visits to ensure stock levels and current performance is in-line with strategy
